WAUSAU, WI – June 19,

The
Woodchucks (17-4) failed to make it six in a row against the Eau
Claire Express (9-13) as they fell Friday night at
Carson
Park
7-5. After jumping out to a 3-0 lead after three innings, the
Express added four in the fourth take a lead they would not
surrender.
Starting pitcher Robert Young (
Dartmouth
) picked up the loss allowing four earned runs in 5.1 innings of
work. Young’s record falls to1-1.
Jeff
Cowan (
High Point
) led the way offensively going 3 for 5 with a home run while
Chris Wade (
Kentucky
) added a pair of hits, a run, and an RBI in the loss.
The
Woodchucks head to
Madison
for a crucial two game series starting Saturday. The ‘Chucks
next home game is Tuesday, June 24th at
Athletic
Park
at 6:35 p.m. Former Packer Gilbert Brown will be on hand to sign
autographs!
