WAUSAU, WI – June 10, 2008 – Due to flooding at Riverfront
Stadium in Waterloo, the Woodchucks-Bucks weekend series has
been moved from Waterloo to Wausau. The teams will play a
one game Saturday June 15th at Athletic Park. First pitch is
scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
For
the first time in team history, the Woodchucks will be the
“visiting” team at Athletic Park. The ‘Chucks and Bucks will
play one nine inning game with the gates opening at 5:35 p.m. The promotion on this unique night is “2-for-1
Night.” Fans can buy general admission tickets, hot dogs, and
tap beverages at 2-for-1 prices all night long.
The Wisconsin Woodchucks are a member of the Northwoods League,
a college wood bat summer league featuring players from across
the country. Baseball America named the Northwoods League as
one of the premier summer collegiate baseball leagues in the
