Historic Performance Gets Barnes NWL Player of the Night

July 18, 2007

ROCHESTER, MN - JULY 18, 2007 - Jeremy Barnes (Notre Dame) might never forget his first trip to Bukolt park in Stevens Point. The Texas native hit three, three-run jacks finishing with nine RBI's and four runs scored. To add to the historic performance, just the sixth time in NWL history a player has hit three home runs in a game, Barnes garnered Northwood's League Player of the Night.

It is the fourth time a Woodchuck has been awarded NWL Player of the Night this season. Vicente Cafaro (Iowa Western C.C.) on July 14, Justin Fitzgerald (UC-Davis) on July 9 and Matt Trausch (Oakland) on July 4 were the previous three winners.
