New Players Aboard Woodchuck's Ship

July 14, 2007

WAUSAU, WI – JULY 14, 2007 – The ‘Chucks have added four players to their roster in the past ten days. Two outfielders, Sam Freeman (North Central Texas) and Tyrell Cummings (Seminole State C.C.), along with two infielders, Jeremy Barnes (Notre Dames) and Brent Weaver (Rose State College) are ‘Chuck additions for the second half. Left-handed outfielder Freeman also has the ability to toe the rubber as a reliever.

Jeremy Barnes was playing baseball in the Cape Cod League before he hooked up with the ‘Chucks. Brent Weaver, Sam Freeman and Tyrell Cummings were not playing summer baseball before signing with the Woodchucks.

Injuries, and players leaving, have caused the Woodchucks to add new players to the roster. The Woodchucks lost another player yesterday, July 13, when Curt Marshall had to return home due to illness.
