WAUSAU, WI – March 31, 2008 – The Wisconsin Woodchucks announced the recent signing of Stanford infielder Jonathan Kaskow.  The Coppell, Texas native is a true freshman and has received a full scholarship from the Stanford Cardinal.

Kaskow, a 6’4”, 215-pound first baseman, was named Texas High School Player of the Year by the Texas Baseball Coaches Association.  He was also named to the Texas All-State Team in 2006 and 2007.  During his high school senior season the switch-hitting Kaskow was “one of the most intriguing power hitters in the 2007 draft class” according to Scout.com.  ESPN.com also ranked him as the 67^th best prospect overall for the 2007 draft.
