WAUSAU, WI – January 3, 2008 – A youth baseball camp is to be
held at Wausau East High School on Saturday, January 12th.
Advanced Skills Camp is open to young baseball players between
the ages of 10 and 19, and the camp is still accepting

The
camp’s lead instructor is Coach Rob Smith (Creighton
University.) Coach Smith is extremely familiar with the Wausau
area as he coached the Wisconsin Woodchucks in the Northwoods
League. His Woodchucks won the NWL Championship in 2001, which
was the team’s first title. Coach Smith has been conducting
camps in Wisconsin for the past eight years. The other
high-profile collegiate coaches that will be featured at the
camp are as follows: Kris Welker (University of Iowa hitting /
catching coach), Chris Maliszewski (Valparaiso University
recruiting coordinator / pitching coach), Joe Cicora (Creighton
University hitting / catching coach), and Ryan Sawyers (Garden
City College recruiting coordinator / pitching coach).
The two sessions of the Advanced Skills Camp are the pitching /
catching session (from 9 AM to 3 PM) and the hitting session
(from 3 PM to 7 PM). The cost of the camp is $100 for one
session or $200 for both sessions. For registration questions
