WAUSAU, WI – January 11, 2008 – The 6th Annual
Central Wisconsin Baseball Hall of Fame ceremony will take place
Thursday, January 17th, at Dale’s Weston Lanes.
Tickets are still available and will be on sale through Tuesday,
January 15th at noon. The night’s festivities begin
with a social hour at 5:30 PM.
Former Milwaukee Brave Johnny Logan has been added to the
night’s guest speaker lineup. Logan joins Woodchucks field
manager Jim Gantner and Milwaukee Brewers TV announcer Brian
Anderson as the featured guest speakers. Logan played nine
seasons with the Braves and was one of the best fielding
shortstops in the 1950’s. Logan was a four-time National League
All-Star, and he also won a World Series title in 1957 with the
Milwaukee Braves.
Former Wausau Timber Harold Reynolds, one of the ceremony’s
speaker, has had an unavoidable conflict arise over the past few
days and might not be able to attend the ceremony. However,
Reynolds has made a commitment to visit Wausau for a Wisconsin
Woodchucks game this summer, if this conflict prevents him from
coming to the ceremony on January 17th.
This
year’s Hall of Fame inductees include: Steve Foster, Rod Timm,
John Bartelt, and Arvo Britten. The evening’s sponsors are
Midwest Professional Planners, LTD., Saturn of Wausau, Wausau
Tile, WAOW-TV 9, and ESPN 1230 WXCO.

aside a number of tables, which seat eight people, for $280. If
